One of the biggest highlights of 2018 for the Shokkin Group International network was to receive the support from the European Youth Foundation and the Council of Europe to implement a work plan, a 1-year long project to be developed between 7 of the organizations belonging to the network: Shokkin Group Estonia (Estonia), Awesome People (Sweden), Shokkin Group Denmark (Denmark), Ticket2Europe (Spain), Shokkin Group Norge (Norway), Un Strop de Fericire (Romania) and Logos (Poland).
The main aim of “European Activist Factory” is to raise the level of active citizenship among young people by training them in social activism, campaigning and providing space for creating Europe-wide social campaigns on the topics of youth participation, human rights, cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, inclusion of refugees, strengthening civil society and recognition of volunteering.
The project will take place throughout the whole 2019 and includes three main stages:
- “We Plan to Act”- international training activity in Estonia: 03-09 March 2019
- “We Act!” – National training activities, development and implementation of social campaigns: March-December 2019
- “Evaluate Now” – International evaluation activity in Poland: 14-17 December 2019
The first training activity “We Plan to Act” sets the basis for the work plan, making youth leaders more acquitted with one another, sharing experiences, learning about the topic, dividing campaign topics and planning frames of national trainings.
