Board 2017/18

Pavel Vassiljiev (Estonia) | Chief of Board

I studied marketing and brand management and have work experience as a project manager, lecturer, trainer and consultant in the education and NGO fields. I am passionate about backpacking, cooking and work. I love to plan faraway trips on a budget and bring them to life discovering new places and ways of living. Whenever I miss traveling I travel with food, cooking dishes from different world cuisines gives me lots of happiness, especially when they turn out tasty. And most of the other time I like to work, since at work in Shokkin Group and as a freelance trainer I can bring ideas to life and contribute to the positive change around me, which is for me as exciting as backpacking and cooking.

Jonas Sidenius (Denmark) | Vice-Chief

My name is Jonas and my educational background is Education Science. I have been involved in working with youth organizations and non-formal education for more than 5 years. The non-formal learning activities I have been involved in were a nice break from the theoretical inputs and knowledge that I got from university. During the 5 years I organized and coordinated many projects through Erasmus+ on topics such as project management, entrepreneurship and creativity, health & sustainability and soft skills development. In 2014 I created Shokkin Group Denmark together with some friends in Denmark. I have been the chairman since that time.

Carlos Sousa (Portugal) | Treasurer

Designer and creative, always seeking for a new project, a new challenge or a new path to discover. Youth leadership has kept me alive, always developing new skills and new challenges but above all, always open to learn with youngsters and enjoy life the simple way with a smile on my face!

Ana del Valle (Spain) | Communications manager

I have a Bachelor in Law and Criminology, and I have benefited from different international academic and professional experiences in Argentina, France, Belgium and Armenia. I completed an internship at the European External Action Service and worked as a professor of International Relations at the Yerevan State University (Armenia). Currently, I am teaching in a Spanish Public University in Pontevedra (Spain) and I am the president of Ticket2Europe, one of our SGI members.

Nuno Paixão (Portugal) | Secretary

I grew up in Bombarral, Portugal (where I felt I never quite fit in), and graduated from the Superior School of Social Communication (where I didn’t fit in either). Meanwhile, I joined the Scouts (where I finally fit in) and worked briefly as a team leader for my first youth exchange. After some more Erasmus+ experiences I quit my job and moved to Lisbon and since then I have been working as a project coordinator (and other thousand freelance jobs) for youth development and mobility, where I found (the super amazing) Shokkin Group people!
