Board 2019/20

Pavel Vassiljiev (Estonia) | Chief of Board

I studied marketing and brand management and have work experience as a project manager, lecturer, trainer and consultant in the education and NGO fields. I am passionate about backpacking, cooking and work. I love to plan faraway trips on a budget and bring them to life discovering new places and ways of living. Whenever I miss traveling I travel with food, cooking dishes from different world cuisines gives me lots of happiness, especially when they turn out tasty. And most of the other time I like to work, since at work in Shokkin Group and as a freelance trainer I can bring ideas to life and contribute to the positive change around me, which is for me as exciting as backpacking and cooking.

Carmen Ionita (Romania) | Network Developer

I am passionate about inclusive education and scientific research and in my daily work I am trying to connect the two fields while exploring them myself. I am currently studying towards a PhD in Psychology at the University of Manchester and at the same time I am involved in multiple educational projects and science communication initiatives. Although (apparently) chaotic at times, my way of working can be best described through my new favorite term – cross-fertilisation. It’s amazing how ideas from one field can be applied in a completely different context. An advantage of being involved in working with very different groups of people is that I can transport and transfer ideas and make them grow in different directions. Recently I became interested in quality evaluation in youth work, and in my free time, I enjoy float tanks, reading, and discovering people’s stories.

Olalla González (Spain) | External Communication Manager

I have loved languages, cultures and the diversity (and immensity) of the world since I was a kid. After graduating in Translation and Interpreting, I lived for two years in France and had the opportunity to backpack and discover different corners of Europe. One day, Erasmus+ found me and never let me go, and for over four years now I have been diving deeper into the amazing world of youth work, non formal education and international cooperation. I am board member and communication manager in Ticket2Europe and Shokkin Group Estonia, which allows me to grow every day and keep my hunger for learning fed. I am also working as a project manager in international projects and one of my passions is visualizing content through graphic facilitation/recording techniques, so you can always find a marker and paper with me.

Ignacio Márquez (Spain) | Board member

My passion for community development, social change and human rights led me to study a Bachelor in Social Work. I have been working for the public sector as a project manager focusing on promoting the active participation of youngsters in civil society. During my first Erasmus I started to be in contact with human diversity and this broadened my horizons. Countries, Cultures and Communities, all of them have developed in me a view of the world based on an international cooperation perspective. Being part of Ticket2Europe and Shokkin Group International allows me to connect and share my passion for Experiential Learning and Non-Formal Education with inspiring people across the globe. My preferences: A  mountain for hiking, a wave for surfing and a culture to learn about.

From a young age I have had a driving force to do what I can to change the world for the better. This passion took me to start the organization Awesome People in 2013, where I am now working as a director and project coordinator. I have a Master in cultural analysis from Umeå University and I love the topic of learning and how we can enhance learning in diverse ways in order to include more young people in educational activities. I am especially interested in the topics of inclusion, womens’s rights, entrepreneurship education, gamification and coaching. I love creating new method material and coordinating different kind of projects where people can be and feel awesome! My free time I spend with my family, watch movies and go to amusement parks!
