It feels like yesterday when representatives of Shokkin Group, Coobra, Ticket2Europe and EduEra met online for the first kickoff meeting of “Gems of Youth Work”, but the truth is that nothing less that nine (!) months have passed.
Luckily, this time we were able to meet in person and have a really productive weekend from 7th to 9th of January during which we reviewed the progress of the project and made plans for future.
What has happened so far?
During the first few months of the project we actively worked on the structure and skeleton of our podcast series:
- We decided the content structure and made guidelines both for ourselves and our future guests;
- We chose jingles, taglines and produced the general recordings to be used during post-production;
- We gathered lists of contacts, topics and recruited the first round of
victimsspeakers 😉 - We designed the visual identity of the project, the main covers and all the episode-related promotional material.
Finally, it was time to start the action, and the last few months have been filled with learning on how to better record podcasts. We have recorded over 11 episodes, each followed by revisions, post-production and adjustments.
What did we do during the mid-term meeting?
During the mid-term meeting we allocated some time to look back on the steps taken, identify challenges and share experiences on the accomplished tasks so far. How happy are we with the podcast content? Does the flow differ a lot from speaker to speaker? How did we find the post-production and feedbacking work? Should we adapt the timing dedicated for post-production and adjustment?
Once we exchanged impressions, we put ourselves to work on pending tasks, such as reviewing the posting strategy, setting up the podcast platforms, creating comprehensive mailing lists and continue brainstorming ideas for topics and speakers for season 2 and season 3.
What’s next?
The first episode of the series will be officially released on Tuesday, 13th of January and promoted in all our channels (website, Facebook, Instagram). The first season will include eight episodes, which will be released every second Tuesday, followed by their corresponding graphic recording, released on Fridays.
