Board 2018/19

Pavel Vassiljiev (Estonia) | Chief of Board

I studied marketing and brand management and have work experience as a project manager, lecturer, trainer and consultant in the education and NGO fields. I am passionate about backpacking, cooking and work. I love to plan faraway trips on a budget and bring them to life discovering new places and ways of living. Whenever I miss traveling I travel with food, cooking dishes from different world cuisines gives me lots of happiness, especially when they turn out tasty. And most of the other time I like to work, since at work in Shokkin Group and as a freelance trainer I can bring ideas to life and contribute to the positive change around me, which is for me as exciting as backpacking and cooking.

Marit Mobert (Norway) | Internal Communications Manager

I am the Co-founder, Cheif of Board and Project Manager in Shokkin Group Norge, since it was established in 2016. I have a Master degree in Human Geography from University of Oslo, with women’s rights and gender equality in multicultural societies as my speciality. Topic of interests in youth work and international exchanges are migration, inclusion and integration, intercultural communication and dialogue, human rights and equality and how to address these issues creatively, and sustainability and outdoor activities. I like nature, mountains, hiking and rain, and she loves to travel to new places and meet different kinds of people.

Carmen Ionita (Romania) | Fundraiser

I am passionate about education and scientific research and in my daily work I am trying to explore and merge the two fields. I am currently studying towards a PhD in Psychology at the University of Manchester, researching what happens in the human brain when we learn and remember things, and at the same time I am involved in multiple educational projects. Being part of international youth exchanges and training courses gave me experience with and knowledge of non-formal tools to apply more widely – I am now working with youngsters from low income backgrounds in Greater Manchester to inspire them about research and to make the ‘University bubble’ more accessible. My main goal is to find innovative tools to create community of learners where people can influence their learning experiences in positive ways. In my free time, I enjoy reading, travelling, and context-oriented arts.

Olalla González (Spain) | External Communication Manager

I have loved languages, cultures and the diversity (and immensity) of the world since I was a kid. After graduating in Translation and Interpreting, I lived for two years in France and had the opportunity to backpack and discover different corners of Europe. One day, Erasmus+ found me and never let me go, and for almost three years now I have been diving deeper and deeper into the amazing world of youth work, non formal education and international cooperation. I am currently board member and communication manager in Ticket2Europe and Shokkin Group Estonia, which allows me to grow every day and keep my hunger for learning fed. I am also working as a project manager in international projects and one of my passions is visualizing content through graphic facilitation/recording techniques.
